What are the issues / specifics of an international roll-out project?
IMCG has experience in designing of a global SAP template and with its implementation into various countries within Europe, Middle-East and Africa. On top of this, our consultants participated in other projects typically driven by global IT or consulting companies. Through all of these we gained valuable knowledge that we can utilize for the future and that you can benefit from.
We are company based in the Czech republic however we can support you with projects in other countries where we left our footprint, be it in the CEE region (Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria etc.), Russia, Middle-East (Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE) or even India and Egypt.
The key success factors that you should not underestimate are (among others):
- Definition of good template – we believe that this is the key for the success of your roll-out programme. The template should be comprised of various components – it should be comprehensive package including templates of business processes, system design, training strategy (with role-based learning paths), migration strategy (down to individual migration tools) and more.
- Local legal specifics – we implemented vast majority of the countries without the need for local partners (only with the support of the globalization information from SAP), still there are countries with higher localization complexity where we had to use our partners on-site (e.g. Russia, Israel),
- Strong business leadership – a lot of large IT programmes failed to deliver its benefits due to the fact that they were IT driven. With the large SAP project you however not only deliver IT system, you change the whole company and thus you need strong business leaders who will help you gaining the buy-in of individual entities.
